6 WEEKS
6 weeks on, Mr S is developing a voice of his own. He can suddenly shout very loudly, possibly for no reason at all. S is still grunting and keeping us up every so often at night. He has chubbed up so it will be interesting to see how much he weighs tomorrow when we have the 6-8 weeks health checl. His eyes are still a blue grey at this stage.
His non-verbal sound making communication is pretty interesting. There are the little coughs just before feeding, shouting to get attention, and full-blown crying only when he has been ignored for a while.
Mr S is frequently spending time in the buggy and the car, due to the pick-ups and drop-offs I have to do. It does afford him time to sleep though. S can just about support his head. According to this website, 6 week old is when a true smile emerges. I think I saw one just tonight. The website also talks about seeing 12 inches away, so S does look around intently.
