9 MONTHS AND COUNTING

The biggest leap so far is Sammy's mobility. He is now crawling and standing with support. He can manage a few seconds of standing without aid. Very fussy eater at 9 months. His favourite food is tangerines. Now not even that keen on other fruits which he used to love, like watermelon and melon. Eating yoghurt with berry powder in the morning. Ritz biscuits for lunch and dinner. Will eat french fries and occasionally chews on a piece of chicken. Has not pooed for five days. He's dropped down to 1 sleep in the morning. I try to put him down when the siblings come home but he just stays awake. Still very cute. Has one friend, Mateo.

Yesterday was the definitive day that Sammy mastered the roll. He got onto his front a couple of times. Today he most definitely rolled off the bed...he was placed in the middle and managed to roll of the side! Things have changed. He is on the move!

THE BIRTH

  I wrote down a series of things I was believing God for for Sammy's birth: Pain-free childbirth Born on 1st January 2025 Labour under 1 hour No complications No tears No induction Normal size baby Natural birth No trauma JOY! Ephesians 3:20 He is able to do exceedingly, abundantly more than we ask or imagine, according to the power which is at work in us. Colossians 1:11 Strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy... Sammy's birth was no less than spectacular. Little did we know that he would arrive on the day we washed the first batch of baby clothes. We had the cot assembled, the car seat cleaned, and the maternity bag packed except for the baby clothes. While speaking with the neighbour, we casually mentioned that we might need her help if the baby arrives tonight. "It's a really small chance," M dismissed it casually.
